BOMBSHELL, N.M. (AP) Northwestern University Electrical Engineering will hire more than 1,400 engineers this year as part the school’s $15-million hiring initiative.
The school announced Wednesday that it is hiring more than 100 engineers over the next year to work with customers and develop solutions.
The hiring of engineers will begin this spring and be completed in 2018.
The college also announced that it will begin offering an internship program for the first time for students who want to work in engineering.
Northwestern will add the internship program to its graduate programs in 2018 and 2019, but will not offer a full-time degree.
Northwood University is hiring nearly 500 engineers this spring.
